When Luisito Chorache came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Hermosillo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Chorache couldn't finish the play. Stowe City's Cliff Robinson suffered a sprained foot after 9 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 9 minutes into the game, Hector Corderro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hermosillo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stowe City the free kick. A collision led to Hermosillo FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Hector Corderro hit a great ball. In the 14th match minute, Stowe City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenneth Sargent to maneuver through the defense. Stowe City's Dillon Yoder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Tabor in the 15th minute of play. Clodoveo Fanuco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Gardner in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Stowe City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodger Calloway to maneuver through the defense. Isaias Havier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute Honorio Tabor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dillon Yoder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Ricky Gardner notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Hermosillo FC's Clodoveo Fanuco. Clodoveo Fanuco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Stowe City booed when Hermosillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Orlandus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonides Eyague received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dillon Yoder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luisito Chorache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dillon Yoder having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Troy Murry made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Honorio Tabor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luisito Chorache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dillon Yoder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Dillon Yoder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luisito Chorache went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 61st minute, Honorio Tabor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hermosillo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Dillon Yoder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Corderro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th match minute, Stowe City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricky Gardner to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Hector Corderro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dillon Yoder. That made the score 1-3 in the 69 minute of play. Clodoveo Fanuco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Gardner in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Stowe City booed when Hermosillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Gaitan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Stowe City's Kenneth Sargent nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clodoveo Fanuco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Hermosillo FC's zone, Kenneth Sargent stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clodoveo Fanuco came out of the goal and Kenneth Sargent tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute, Ruben Gaitan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hermosillo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Hermosillo FC's Honorio Tabor got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 86 in the game by Hector Corderro from a close distance when the talented Dillon Yoder managed to make a qualified save. Stowe City's players were relieved. In the 94th minute, Luisito Chorache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hermosillo FC played a much better game than Stowe City and deserved their victory. The Stowe City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
