Bartlomiej Rybak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Dobromir Cwojdak took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boguslaw Waselewicz. Boguslaw Waselewicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiktor Sliwinski in the 28th minute of play forced Widzew Łódź's goalkeeper Boguslaw Waselewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bartlomiej Rybak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Przemyslaw Karpinski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by MARRAK Ostrów Wlkp.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gilbert Wos was slow to take the kick. During this time Widzew Łódź's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Widzew Łódź's Dariusz Kluczyk getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Boguslaw Waselewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Bromley, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Gilbert Wos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. They were losing 2-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dan Bromley to make the kick off. Przemyslaw Karpinski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bartlomiej Rybak's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Edgar Przebendowski got a throw-in 58 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Dobromir Cwojdak. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Bromley in the 59th minute of play forced Widzew Łódź's goalkeeper Boguslaw Waselewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Widzew Łódź's goalkeeper Boguslaw Waselewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gualterio Jaunti. Gualterio Jaunti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Boguslaw Waselewicz made a huge save. The supporters of MARRAK Ostrów Wlkp. booed when Widzew Łódź was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kryspin Czerniejewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boguslaw Waselewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Bromley in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Bartlomiej Rybak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Widzew Łódź's supporters rose to their feet, but Bartlomiej Rybak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Przemyslaw Karpinski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over MARRAK Ostrów Wlkp. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Widzew Łódź throughout the match.
