Donzel Portillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Bartolo Quirze struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Donzel Portillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boxer Club. In the 10th minute, Caetano Salgado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boxer Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Donzel Portillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Olayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartolo Quirze in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donzel Portillo saved Turbo Kame Corp from getting behind. Donzel Portillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bartolo Quirze's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Boxer Club's Bartolo Quirze got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Turbo Kame Corp defense, Samuel Olayo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donzel Portillo. The Turbo Kame Corp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donzel Portillo should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Boxer Club's Snorre Bentzen got a free kick in the 40th minute. Benedicto Moise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donzel Portillo having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Giro Vidal in the 52nd minute of play forced Boxer Club's goalkeeper Camilo Fernado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boxer Club's Snorre Bentzen got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristos Navarro hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Samuel Olayo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Donzel Portillo.
