In the 14th minute, Vassilis Katsoulakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jose-Manuel Alabern in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Garcia saved Mercedario AFC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jose-Manuel Alabern in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonel Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Xinto Leseduarte came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Gowland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xinto Leseduarte couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the game, Jose-Manuel Alabern cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Leonel Garcia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jacobo Tallia charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacobo Tallia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Mercedario AFC's Jacobo Tallia got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 33 minutes of play Mercedario AFC's Jacobo Tallia was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 33rd match minute, Mercedario AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Tallia to maneuver through the defense. Piotr Charamut took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonel Garcia. Mercedario AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Jose-Manuel Alabern had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonel Garcia. Mercedario AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jose-Manuel Alabern was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 43rd minute, one of Mercedario AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mercedario AFC. Gowland's Jose-Manuel Alabern got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jose-Manuel Alabern struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Leonel Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gowland. The Mercedario AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gowland were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Adolfo Ovando made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Jose-Manuel Alabern rounded Mercedario AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. 57 minutes into the match, Gowland's Jose-Manuel Alabern sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonel Garcia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Mercedario AFC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Hernan Garcia hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Jose-Manuel Alabern made a precise shot to the right of Leonel Garcia. Mercedario AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. With a little luck, Mercedario AFC's Leonel Garcia got control of the ball when Jose-Manuel Alabern tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonel Garcia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jose-Manuel Alabern showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 65 minute of play. Leonel Garcia made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Jose-Manuel Alabern sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute Jose-Manuel Alabern shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Jose-Manuel Alabern took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Leonel Garcia to make any attempt to save it. Jose-Manuel Alabern received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leonel Garcia came out and tried to block the shot, but Jose-Manuel Alabern slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 82nd minute. Salvador Berriotxoa kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Leonel Garcia made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Jose-Manuel Alabern sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute, Mercedario AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jose-Manuel Alabern fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match was over Gowland could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mercedario AFC throughout the match.
