Caracakingo Hermansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bulek Idris in the 2nd minute of the match. In the 4th minute, Bomba FF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Djati Simamora fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 6th match minute, Bomba FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Classon to maneuver through the defense. When Djati Simamora came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Penang Island fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Djati Simamora couldn't finish the play. In the 9th minute, Máté Sólyom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was a well-played corner which Djati Simamora managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After some careless play in the Penang Island defense, David Askestät kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fadh Ie. The Penang Island fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fadh Ie should have stopped the shot. Haikal Sitepu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. David Askestät took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fadh Ie. Penang Island's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 20th minute, Máté Sólyom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fadh Ie came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Bomba FF's Jan-Åke Eriksson. But to his dismay, Jan-Åke Eriksson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Mattias Vennerberg kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Penang Island's Neymar Aguero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After some careless play in the Penang Island defense, Agne Kjellberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fadh Ie. The Penang Island fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fadh Ie should have stopped the shot. Jan-Åke Eriksson took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fadh Ie. Fadh Ie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 37th minute David Askestät shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fadh Ie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute Agne Kjellberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fadh Ie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Penang Island was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bulek Idris to maneuver through the defense. Caracakingo Hermansson made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Bulek Idris sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
In the 52nd minute Jan-Åke Eriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fadh Ie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Jan-Åke Eriksson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bomba FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Caracakingo Hermansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bulek Idris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Penang Island getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Haryanto Simamora hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Máté Sólyom made a precise shot to the right of Fadh Ie. Penang Island's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Jan-Åke Eriksson took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Fadh Ie to make any attempt to save it. Neymar Aguero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fadh Ie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Askestät in the 68th minute of the match. Fadh Ie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Åke Eriksson in the 69th minute of play. With 76 minutes on the clock, Haikal Sitepu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Penang Island fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! 82 minutes into the match, Bomba FF's goal looked a bit too open when Bulek Idris came free, but Caracakingo Hermansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caracakingo Hermansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neymar Aguero in the 87th minute of play. Fadh Ie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Askestät, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Djati Simamora during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Penang Island's Djati Simamora got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the match was over Bomba FF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Penang Island throughout the match.
