The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Club Almirante Brown getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Wilfredo Segio hit a great ball. Esteban Kaiet came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Ánimas's Braulio Perrando. But to his dismay, Braulio Perrando quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Benedicto Chale received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Onur Recep came out and tried to block the shot, but Benedicto Chale slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Segio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Almirante Brown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ánimas the free kick. Esteban Kaiet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Alcântara in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Ánimas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Martxot to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Perrando in the 18th minute of play forced Club Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Esteban Kaiet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Almirante Brown's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nunez Martxot was slow to take the kick. During this time Ánimas's players had a chance to rest. In the 24th minute, Benedicto Chale made a precise shot to the right of Onur Recep. Ánimas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Ánimas's Onur Recep proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Ánimas from getting a goal against them. 37 minutes into the match, Ánimas's goalkeeper Onur Recep had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedicto Chale. Nunez Martxot kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Esteban Kaiet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilfredo Segio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Onur Recep having to interfere. With his leg Onur Recep managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Club Almirante Brown's Benedicto Chale fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedicto Chale in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Onur Recep prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Chale in the 55th minute of play forced Ánimas's goalkeeper Onur Recep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Almirante Brown's Wilfredo Segio managed to work through Ánimas's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Wilfredo Segio dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 60 minutes into the game, Benedicto Chale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Onur Recep was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Almirante Brown made a substitution. Mateo Berbiz replaced Benedicto Chale. Onur Recep showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Segio, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Raul Ramos hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Richard Alcântara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Esteban Kaiet when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Alcântara in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteban Kaiet saved Club Almirante Brown from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Segio in the 74th minute of play forced Ánimas's goalkeeper Onur Recep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justo Paublo hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Onur Recep took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Segio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ánimas booed when Club Almirante Brown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Abad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Richard Alcântara could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Esteban Kaiet however easily saved by the left post. In the 93rd minute Wilfredo Segio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Onur Recep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateo Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Onur Recep showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateo Berbiz in the 95th minute of the match.
