A sloppy throw-in by Tiburcio Ascencio in the 10th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Belgrano de Pibasog's Clemente Gaizkine. Judas Verón blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maximino Heli having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Judas Verón in the 14th minute of play forced docpato's goalkeeper Maximino Heli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximino Heli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Judas Verón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 minutes docpato's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Blue Dolar who took care of the corner kick. In the 23rd minute Belgrano de Pibasog were awarded a corner. Blue Dolar went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Belgrano de Pibasog's corner Eustaquio Fortun fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Maximino Heli quite easily take care of the ball. Maximino Heli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eustaquio Fortun went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Judas Verón's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximino Heli was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Judas Verón stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 minutes, Tiburcio Ascencio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the docpato and the Belgrano de Pibasog players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Belgrano de Pibasog booed when docpato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Ascencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52ndth minute of the game Judas Verón who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but docpato's Maximino Heli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Judas Verón managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgrano de Pibasog's supporters rose to their feet, but Judas Verón was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Heli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Judas Verón's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Silvio Abadia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute Melquiades Henrico collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Alberto Jurgi hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, Judas Verón notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of docpato's Maximino Heli. Maximino Heli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st minute Judas Verón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Heli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximino Heli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Judas Verón went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Belgrano de Pibasog fully deserved thier win.
