With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ali Hamza Kayraalp who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Rodrigo Guerra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eusébio Pontes charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some careless play in the Cosmos FC defense, Şaban Ulunay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodrigo Guerra.
