Horácio Siqueira made a great header on TIGRE DE OURO's corner, it was just that Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Dražen Ladić managed to reach the ball for a save. Marcelo Cordero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Cordero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Capitillo was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Marcelo Cordero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Capitillo having to make a save. If Marcelo Cordero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. TIGRE DE OURO's Julio Capitillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Cordero in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Horácio Siqueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dražen Ladić was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Cordero in the 22nd minute of play forced TIGRE DE OURO's goalkeeper Julio Capitillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nico Falcão in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dražen Ladić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nico Falcão let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 23rd minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Dražen Ladić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico Falcão in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute Marcelo Cordero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Capitillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Marcelo Cordero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Aaron Neville's late challenge caught a Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Neville helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes TIGRE DE OURO got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Neville. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Nico Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dražen Ladić having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Cordero got free with Julio Capitillo in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Marcelo Cordero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Capitillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 72 minutes into the match, TIGRE DE OURO's goalkeeper Julio Capitillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Cordero. Andre Vanhove sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT made a substitution. Emilio Lizar replaced Andre Vanhove. Julio Capitillo was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Haroldo Alfonso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Haroldo Alfonso really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in TIGRE DE OURO's zone, Haroldo Alfonso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Capitillo came out of the goal and Haroldo Alfonso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Capitillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Haroldo Alfonso's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Haroldo Alfonso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Capitillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chants of Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as TIGRE DE OURO had held the ball for most of the match.
