The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Discípulos de Ayn Rand reached it. Maxín Aedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Geleberto in the 8th minute of play. Pasqual Abalos had great luck who in the 10thth minute grab hold of the ball when Bacary Pupier from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 15 minutes into the match, Muc Abeita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of The Little Tree's Maxín Aedo. Maxín Aedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ambrosio Lonzo might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maxín Aedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The Little Tree's Maxín Aedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Geleberto in the 31st minute of play. With his leg Pasqual Abalos managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when The Little Tree's Zornin Baños fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maxín Aedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Lonzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Maxín Aedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ambrosio Lonzo's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Muc Abeita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Florez in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pasqual Abalos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ambrosio Lonzo in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxín Aedo saved The Little Tree from getting behind. Maxín Aedo made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Ambrosio Lonzo sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to The Little Tree getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Iván Mesia hit a great ball. Maxín Aedo stood somewhat misplaced when Ambrosio Lonzo came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 67 minute. After 69 minutes, Leonardo Poncio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Discípulos de Ayn Rand and the The Little Tree players grew even worse after the yellow card.
