The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Valer Buceceanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aílton Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valer Buceceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The supporters of Renascer booed when GS Tor Pignattara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosimo Petricca didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Valer Buceceanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Aílton Gerber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valer Buceceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Aílton Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Valer Buceceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Valer Buceceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aílton Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Renascer getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Denílson Mello hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Carlo Holse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valer Buceceanu in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aílton Gerber saved Renascer from getting behind. After 38 played minutes Renascer got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Mello. Valer Buceceanu scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aílton Gerber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aílton Gerber came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by GS Tor Pignattara's Valer Buceceanu. But to his dismay, Valer Buceceanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 47 minutes into the match, Renascer's goal looked a bit too open when Daniele Pugliese came free, but Aílton Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Renascer's Denílson Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Valer Buceceanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aílton Gerber was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 56 minutes into the game, Frederick Desforges recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aílton Gerber. Frederick Desforges showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. With a little luck, Renascer's Aílton Gerber got control of the ball when Frederick Desforges tried to sneak it across the goal line. When GS Tor Pignattara's Valer Buceceanu in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Renascer's goalie prevented a goal. In the 66th minute, GS Tor Pignattara's Faustino Tejeido ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aílton Gerber. Aílton Gerber yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. A throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game was made by Adilson Mattos with Lucas Mello as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 80th minute, one of Renascer:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Renascer. The goalkeeper, Aílton Gerber, was totally fooled by GS Tor Pignattara's Daniele Pugliese, who 82 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Aílton Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valer Buceceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After a rather tough play, GS Tor Pignattara's Frederick Desforges got a free kick in the 98th minute. When the final whistle sounded GS Tor Pignattara left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Renascer.
