Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dave Piano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 16 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Louis Palma. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Casalotto FC's goalkeeper Aldo Imperatore, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abdulla Baia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aldo Imperatore having to make a save. In the 25th minute Abdulla Baia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Imperatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdulla Baia in the 27th minute of play forced Casalotto FC's goalkeeper Aldo Imperatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Imperatore came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Ouagadougou National's Abdulla Baia. But to his dismay, Abdulla Baia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 35th match minute, FC Ouagadougou National was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabahattin Kökten to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdulla Baia in the 41st minute of play forced Casalotto FC's goalkeeper Aldo Imperatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the game, FC Ouagadougou National's Abdulla Baia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aldo Imperatore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Casalotto FC's Petre Omescu was substituted for Daniele Daniele. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Louis Palma to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Abdulla Baia took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Aldo Imperatore to make any attempt to save it. Dani Rojas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Aldo Imperatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdulla Baia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aldo Imperatore having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdulla Baia in the 61st minute of play forced Casalotto FC's goalkeeper Aldo Imperatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Imperatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Santi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Dani Rojas could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Aldo Imperatore however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ouagadougou National's zone, Louis Palma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Vereijt came out of the goal and Louis Palma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dani Rojas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Aldo Imperatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene Vereijt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Lucchetti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the FC Ouagadougou National defense, Louis Palma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rene Vereijt. The FC Ouagadougou National fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rene Vereijt should have stopped the shot. After 95 played minutes FC Ouagadougou National got a freekick which was hit by Baba R. Hansen. Juan Santi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aldo Imperatore having to make a save.
