After a defensive mix-up in Botev Plovdiv 1912's zone, Freddy Sabin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joacim Dromph came out of the goal and Freddy Sabin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Freddy Sabin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joacim Dromph having to make a save. Freddy Sabin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Joacim Dromph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alf Hansson in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaetano Mathieu saved Resistencia from getting behind. Lukasz Okropny hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. A hard shot 17 in the game by Guaberto Urtsua from a close distance when the talented Joacim Dromph managed to make a qualified save. Botev Plovdiv 1912's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remy Uytdebroeck in the 20th minute of play forced Resistencia's goalkeeper Gaetano Mathieu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Joacim Dromph got control of the ball when Guaberto Urtsua tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guaberto Urtsua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Joacim Dromph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 49th minute, Gilberto Aballe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaetano Mathieu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Di Kun in the 49th minute of play. Remy Uytdebroeck made a great header on Botev Plovdiv 1912's corner, it was just that Resistencia's Gaetano Mathieu managed to reach the ball for a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alf Hansson to strike the kick off in the second half. Resistencia's Gregorio Martinez pulled a muscle in his back after 59 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 60 minutes, Przemyslaw Trynda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Botev Plovdiv 1912 and the Resistencia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes Botev Plovdiv 1912 got a freekick which was hit by Przemyslaw Trynda. In the 68th minute Guaberto Urtsua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joacim Dromph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Guaberto Urtsua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Resistencia's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Urtsua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joacim Dromph breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Botev Plovdiv 1912's Desislav Sergeev was substituted for Di Kun. Gaetano Mathieu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remy Uytdebroeck in the 74th minute of play. Gaetano Mathieu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 81st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Remy Uytdebroeck. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Guaberto Urtsua sped through Botev Plovdiv 1912's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joacim Dromph. If Guaberto Urtsua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guaberto Urtsua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joacim Dromph having to interfere. After 99 minutes of play, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Alf Hansson made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaetano Mathieu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
