Cazimir Axinte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Fredy Montero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cazimir Axinte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 9th minute, Fredy Montero made a precise shot to the right of Cazimir Axinte. ITA Arad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 11 minutes into the game, Fredy Montero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Cazimir Axinte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cazimir Axinte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Cedro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ITA Arad's Cazimir Axinte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Göransson in the 18th minute of play. When Emanuel Caranfil fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ITA Arad's protests and gave Emanuel Caranfil a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes ITA Arad got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Caranfil. In the 20th minute, Paulino Maltez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ITA Arad's Cazimir Axinte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Viegas in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Telmo Viegas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cazimir Axinte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After having played for 27 minutes, Telmo Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Clube de Gaya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Telmo Viegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cazimir Axinte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredy Montero in the 30th minute of play. In the 30th minute Fredy Montero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cazimir Axinte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Paulino Maltez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cazimir Axinte was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Paulino Maltez charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulino Maltez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sporting Clube de Gaya getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Paulino Maltez hit a great ball. Victor Dobrotă hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Paulino Maltez made a precise shot to the right of Cazimir Axinte. ITA Arad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. 40 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper António Trubin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petru Plopan. With a little luck, Sporting Clube de Gaya's António Trubin got control of the ball when Petru Plopan tried to sneak it across the goal line. António Trubin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Dobrotă, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After some careless play in the ITA Arad defense, Paulino Maltez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cazimir Axinte. The ITA Arad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cazimir Axinte should have stopped the shot. After the first half Sporting Clube de Gaya were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

51 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Dobrotă came free, but António Trubin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Sporting Clube de Gaya booed when ITA Arad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Nastac didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Horácio Pedroso came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Sporting Clube de Gaya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horácio Pedroso couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Sporting Clube de Gaya defense, Victor Dobrotă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of António Trubin. The Sporting Clube de Gaya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Trubin should have stopped the shot. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Justino Cedro was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 59th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Cazimir Axinte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Maltez in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Fredy Montero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cazimir Axinte. Cazimir Axinte yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-9. In the 67th minute, Justino Cedro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cazimir Axinte was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-10. Isaac Göransson charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaac Göransson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 69th minute, Isaac Göransson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cazimir Axinte was a little too slow when Fredy Montero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-11. Justino Cedro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Cazimir Axinte when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cazimir Axinte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fredy Montero went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-12 was the resulting score. Cazimir Axinte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Maltez, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Tiberian came free, but António Trubin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, one of ITA Arad:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 90 minutes, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Fredy Montero got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cazimir Axinte. 95 minutes into the match, ITA Arad's goalkeeper Cazimir Axinte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justino Cedro. Bogdan Nastac hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Horácio Pedroso got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sporting Clube de Gaya played a much better game than ITA Arad and deserved their victory. The ITA Arad players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
