The supporters of EdirnE ÇeltiK booed when Sport Clube Recife was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dong Yang Bang didn't get a good kick on the ball. The EdirnE ÇeltiK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emre Coşkun should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Robby Woody put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Emre Coşkun. In the 44th match minute, Sport Clube Recife was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo Brodel to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Sport Clube Recife's goalkeeper Percy Fernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Balamir Sidal. Emre Coşkun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robby Woody, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Emre Coşkun managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Sport Clube Recife's Pablo Lampard fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
