AIF's Jack Brandt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taco Oldenborger in the 9th minute of play. Patrik Linqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Odin in the 11th minute of play. David Bergman lost his temper 13 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave AIF a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Stig Ekenberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ryttartorpets FF's Patrik Linqvist. 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, Hubert Gruber had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jack Brandt. AIF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hubert Gruber was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Gustaf Olsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ryttartorpets FF getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jens-Ola Bock hit a great ball. Nils-Åke Glanselius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Patrik Linqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The AIF fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when AIF's Erik Odin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. AIF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Hubert Gruber scored to the left of an out of position Jack Brandt, making the score, 2-2. Wu Li Zhi hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Gustaf Olsson hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Hubert Gruber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gottfrid Backlund in the 47th minute of play forced AIF's goalkeeper Jack Brandt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wu Li Zhi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Stig Ekenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. AIF's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig Ekenberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrik Linqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The corner ended in Taco Oldenborger almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AIF's Jack Brandt did a great save. Ryttartorpets FF's Patrik Linqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Ryttartorpets FF from getting a goal against them. 71 minutes in the game, Stig Ekenberg dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Erik Odin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Patrik Linqvist made a huge save. After 75 played minutes AIF got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Lilja. AIF's Jack Brandt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Kinell in the 77th minute of play. Ryttartorpets FF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gustaf Olsson in the 78th minute. Patrik Linqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stig Ekenberg went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Sven-Edvin Mogren kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Hjalmar Engström charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hjalmar Engström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st match minute, Ryttartorpets FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hjalmar Engström to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Wu Li Zhi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AIF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AIF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
