Bertil Gudmundsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samir Menad in the 9th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Football Wizards 59's goalkeeper Bertil Gudmundsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Djamal Beloufa. If Samir Menad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rd minute Kusti Jõeäär shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Gudmundsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthar Bensaoula in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bertil Gudmundsson saved Football Wizards 59 from getting behind. Bertil Gudmundsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samir Menad, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Anthar Bensaoula sped through Football Wizards 59's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bertil Gudmundsson. Edgardo Coque could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Bertil Gudmundsson made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthar Bensaoula in the 31st minute of play forced Football Wizards 59's goalkeeper Bertil Gudmundsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anthar Bensaoula got free with Bertil Gudmundsson in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Samir Menad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Gudmundsson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehdi Larbes in the 42nd minute of play forced Football Wizards 59's goalkeeper Bertil Gudmundsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Ennio Terenzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Football Wizards 59's Narciso Oroitz got a free kick in the 44th minute. If Kusti Jõeäär had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Football Wizards 59's Franklin Sarron was substituted for Gilbert Paciuszko. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samir Menad to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, La manada fc's Johnny van der Sar got control of the ball when Gilles Jeanroy tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57thth minute of the game Samir Menad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Football Wizards 59's Bertil Gudmundsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bertil Gudmundsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samir Menad in the 60th minute of play. Johnny van der Sar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilles Jeanroy in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Football Wizards 59's goalkeeper Bertil Gudmundsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Football Wizards 59's goal looked a bit too open when Mohamed Merzekane came free, but Bertil Gudmundsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of La manada fc booed when Football Wizards 59 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justin Chambard didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Samir Menad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La manada fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samir Menad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samir Menad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertil Gudmundsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Football Wizards 59's goal looked a bit too open when Anthar Bensaoula came free, but Bertil Gudmundsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La manada fc's Kusti Jõeäär was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bertil Gudmundsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilles Jeanroy during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 played minutes Football Wizards 59 got a freekick which was hit by Gilles Jeanroy. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind La manada fc's goalkeeper Johnny van der Sar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anthar Bensaoula recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samir Menad in the 87th minute of play forced Football Wizards 59's goalkeeper Bertil Gudmundsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bertil Gudmundsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthar Bensaoula in the 92nd minute of play. Football Wizards 59's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
