The audience was convinced that Vicente Flores's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justas Kukulskis was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. GÖZTEPE SK were furious when Obi Mikel was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 10th match minute, GÖZTEPE SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Obi Mikel to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Vicente Flores shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justas Kukulskis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Vicente Flores in the 13th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Utkan Ortaç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Des Nutsch in the 14th minute of play. Vicente Flores charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Flores the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Warberg FC booed when GÖZTEPE SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Flores didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Flores to strike the kick off in the second half. Utkan Ortaç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İbrahim-Asım Johansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordie Goretzka in the 64th minute of play forced GÖZTEPE SK's goalkeeper Utkan Ortaç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Warberg FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Leonardo Bäck hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Vit Brun reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Utkan Ortaç. The goal made the score 0-2. Warberg FC's Bobbo Breitner was substituted for İbrahim-Asım Johansson. 74 minutes into the match, GÖZTEPE SK's goalkeeper Utkan Ortaç had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gordie Goretzka. Gordie Goretzka struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Utkan Ortaç didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Warberg FC. When Ersin Oğuzhan fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GÖZTEPE SK's protests and gave Ersin Oğuzhan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd match minute, GÖZTEPE SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ersin Oğuzhan to maneuver through the defense. After 85 minutes GÖZTEPE SK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anthon Myhr who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Warberg FC's corner Anthon Myhr fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Utkan Ortaç quite easily take care of the ball. In the 96th play minute Des Nutsch came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Utkan Ortaç. 0-3.
