With his leg Leon Nowak managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when OLIMPIA SP's Marcinho de Toledo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 13 minutes into the match, SAWEX FC's goalkeeper Leon Nowak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcinho de Toledo. Fernando Gomes took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leon Nowak. Dagoberto Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inge Marin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. OLIMPIA SP's Marcinho de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sigvard Boström made a great header on SAWEX FC's corner, it was just that OLIMPIA SP's Inge Marin managed to reach the ball for a save. Leon Nowak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for OLIMPIA SP. OLIMPIA SP's Inge Marin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobiasz Traczewski in the 75th minute of play. If Uwe Reimann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute of the match Uwe Reimann sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leon Nowak skillfully saved the ball. If Tobiasz Traczewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the game, Olaf Hetman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAWEX FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave OLIMPIA SP the free kick. OLIMPIA SP were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SAWEX FC for a fine match.
