The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicky Bryson in the 8th minute of play forced AKI CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Orlando Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlando Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Figueroa in the 19th minute of play. Jannes Ruttens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Brasil in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Ciro Brasil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jannes Ruttens was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Orlando Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicky Bryson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicky Bryson scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orlando Nogueira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Albino Ibar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Jannes Ruttens made a huge save. After 34 minutes, Vânderson Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AKI CORINTHIANS and the C. A. Pipon Pipon players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to AKI CORINTHIANS getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Vânderson Castro hit a great ball. Orlando Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Figueroa in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Francesco Figueroa got a free kick in the 38th minute. AKI CORINTHIANS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alfred Schrijns in the 40th minute. Alfred Schrijns made a great header on AKI CORINTHIANS's corner, it was just that C. A. Pipon Pipon's Jannes Ruttens managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciro Brasil in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jannes Ruttens saved C. A. Pipon Pipon from getting behind. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Jannes Ruttens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Castro in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francesco Figueroa to make the kick off. Ciro Brasil scored 2-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jannes Ruttens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Malcolm McIntosh was substituted for Francesco Figueroa. AKI CORINTHIANS's Orlando Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicky Bryson in the 63rd minute of play. In the 69th minute of the match Mosa Alla shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orlando Nogueira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Malcolm McIntosh in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlando Nogueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. C. A. Pipon Pipon made a substitution. Merlin Riley replaced Jose José. After 72 minutes AKI CORINTHIANS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Al Whatley who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Al Whatley got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Orlando Nogueira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 75 minutes, Albino Ibar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AKI CORINTHIANS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albino Ibar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jannes Ruttens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Brasil in the 79th minute of play. Jannes Ruttens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After taking down the ball on AKI CORINTHIANS's corner Romeu Tinoco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jannes Ruttens quite easily take care of the ball. After 87th play minutes Nicky Bryson shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Orlando Nogueira and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of C. A. Pipon Pipon booed when AKI CORINTHIANS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeu Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orlando Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malcolm McIntosh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Nicky Bryson got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
