With 9 minutes on the clock, Alex Bungescu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The audience was convinced that Leo Weterio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joélson de Azevedo was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 19th minute of the match Genio della Lampada FC got a corner. In the 51st minute of the match, Ernest Oardă tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joélson de Azevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristinel Mustățea in the 53rd minute of play forced UM Timisoara's goalkeeper Juan Gaitan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Joélson de Azevedo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Leo Weterio in the 55thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Leo Weterio struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Joélson de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UM Timisoara. 64 minutes into the match, UM Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Pich came free, but Juan Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Genio della Lampada FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Bianco Pelliccia hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, Genio della Lampada FC's goalkeeper Joélson de Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Weterio. 66 minutes into the game, Leo Weterio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Joélson de Azevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th match minute, Genio della Lampada FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Cabada to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute Ciccio Cellucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Gaitan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Emiliano Santilli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. UM Timisoara walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
