The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 14th match minute, Puerto Unidos Sur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Frederik to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Roland Löfdahl put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mauricio Fidele. In the 19th minute of the match, Pastor Orland tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juvenal Rocha saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rogelio Frederik hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Kelechi Iheanacho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Fidele having to interfere. Roland Löfdahl took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauricio Fidele. Mauricio Fidele dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Roland Löfdahl sped through Puerto Unidos Sur's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mauricio Fidele. Kelechi Iheanacho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mauricio Fidele didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kelechi Iheanacho went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Kelechi Iheanacho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The JÖNKÖPING SÖDRA fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when JÖNKÖPING SÖDRA's Roland Löfdahl looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 46th minute Roland Löfdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Fidele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

JÖNKÖPING SÖDRA made a substitution. Tommy Lennartsson replaced Frans Söderquist. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roland Löfdahl to make the kick off. Roland Löfdahl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Roland Löfdahl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauricio Fidele was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Pastor Orland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Puerto Unidos Sur's Mauricio Fidele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Löfdahl in the 68th minute of play. Puerto Unidos Sur's Mauricio Fidele proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Puerto Unidos Sur from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Roland Löfdahl managed to get in a good position for a shot. JÖNKÖPING SÖDRA's supporters rose to their feet, but Roland Löfdahl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Fidele breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roland Löfdahl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauricio Fidele having to make a save. 77 minutes into the match, Puerto Unidos Sur's goalkeeper Mauricio Fidele had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Löfdahl. The supporters of JÖNKÖPING SÖDRA booed when Puerto Unidos Sur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Sansone didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, JÖNKÖPING SÖDRA's Kent Bergvall got a free kick in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Orland in the 91st minute of play forced JÖNKÖPING SÖDRA's goalkeeper Juvenal Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over JÖNKÖPING SÖDRA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Puerto Unidos Sur throughout the match.
