René Vignal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaizka Mendieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Ordóñez Frontera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enrique Saura in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg René Vignal saved CD Miguir from getting behind. When Tirant lo Blanch's Enrique Saura in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CD Miguir's goalie prevented a goal. When CD Miguir's Ordóñez Frontera in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tirant lo Blanch's goalie prevented a goal. René Vignal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Saura in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Ordóñez Frontera recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Per-Oskar Svensson. Ordóñez Frontera showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, CD Miguir's Ordóñez Frontera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Per-Oskar Svensson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Enrique Saura came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Tirant lo Blanch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Saura couldn't finish the play. Rafael Espada kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Per-Oskar Svensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zenon Bispo in the 30th minute of play. Rafael Sayavedra made in the 34th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Tirant lo Blanch's Sebastián Reina. A collision led to CD Miguir getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Rafael Sayavedra hit a great ball. Rafael Sayavedra's late challenge caught a Tirant lo Blanch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Sayavedra helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes CD Miguir got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Sayavedra. René Vignal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enrique Saura went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Saura in the 46th minute of play forced CD Miguir's goalkeeper René Vignal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The CD Miguir players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tirant lo Blanch were winning 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enrique Saura to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's Enrique Saura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that René Vignal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tirant lo Blanch were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after CD Miguir's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gaizka Mendieta took the corner. Gaizka Mendieta made a great header on Tirant lo Blanch's corner, it was just that CD Miguir's René Vignal managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 62nd minute, Tirant lo Blanch's Enrique Saura dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. René Vignal made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Enrique Saura sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Enrique Saura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tirant lo Blanch's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Saura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. René Vignal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tirant lo Blanch made a substitution. Manolito Puyol replaced Iván Arraz. Rafael Sayavedra got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 85 minutes into the match, Enrique Saura dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of René Vignal, 1-7. Tirant lo Blanch's Enrique Saura got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 91 minutes Tirant lo Blanch's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Virgilio Heraña who took care of the corner kick. In the 94th minute of the match, Manolito Puyol tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but René Vignal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 96 minutes into the match, CD Miguir's goalkeeper René Vignal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Saura. The Tirant lo Blanch supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tirant lo Blanch would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
