In the 33rd minute of the match Leicester Foxes Academy got a corner. Cardo Ruso Cordobés's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Niles Andrews ran over to the corner to take the kick. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Leicester Foxes Academy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cipriano Frichoso was slow to take the kick. During this time Cardo Ruso Cordobés's players had a chance to rest. Cardo Ruso Cordobés's Cipriano Frichoso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hannes Sandwall in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cardo Ruso Cordobés's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cipriano Frichoso in the 40th minute. Sebastian Björkkvist thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Hannes Sandwall, a very annoying self made goal in the 40th minute which led to 0-2. If Franky Dhondt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leicester Foxes Academy's Hannes Sandwall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franky Dhondt in the 43rd minute of play. Hannes Sandwall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franky Dhondt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Leicester Foxes Academy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cardo Ruso Cordobés were winning 0-2.

After 53 minutes Leicester Foxes Academy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cipriano Frichoso who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Tobias Larsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Leicester Foxes Academy's Hannes Sandwall did a great save. Hannes Sandwall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franky Dhondt's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Pong Kula's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hannes Sandwall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. If Pong Kula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hannes Sandwall came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cardo Ruso Cordobés's Pong Kula. But to his dismay, Pong Kula quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After some careless play in the Leicester Foxes Academy defense, Pong Kula kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hannes Sandwall. The Leicester Foxes Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hannes Sandwall should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Pong Kula could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Hannes Sandwall however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Leicester Foxes Academy getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Martin Ericsson hit a great ball. Hannes Sandwall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pong Kula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Cardo Ruso Cordobés supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cardo Ruso Cordobés would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
