But to his dismay, Sugih Linggawarman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 9th minute of the game Michal Prus made a throw-in which Petrică Măcriș played forward. Cirilo Bembe charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cirilo Bembe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cirilo Bembe hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. REBORN's Korneliusz Majusiak shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 12th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Alfred Hutton but with some difficulty. After having played for 14 minutes, Gonzo Gonzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. REBORN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzo Gonzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sugih Linggawarman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Miromir Basinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sugih Linggawarman in the 16th minute of play. Gonzo Gonzo succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Miromir Basinski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sugih Linggawarman went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Kranji Crunchy's Alfred Hutton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzo Gonzo in the 27th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sugih Linggawarman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The REBORN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
