The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Lokomotiv Plovdiv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jiang Bing Yi to maneuver through the defense. Krum Nikolchov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Rudolfo in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute Facundo Nazario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Florian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by La Palmira F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Facundo Nazario was slow to take the kick. During this time Lokomotiv Plovdiv's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Facundo Nazario almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but La Palmira F.C's Javier Florian did a great save. In the 18th minute Paolo Blanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krum Nikolchov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goal looked a bit too open when Generoso Rudolfo came free, but Krum Nikolchov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, La Palmira F.C's Bernardino Telo got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Mito Aydarov struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Javier Florian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lokomotiv Plovdiv. 44 minutes into the match, La Palmira F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Sándor Markovits came free, but Javier Florian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Facundo Nazario was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Krum Nikolchov got control of the ball when Paolo Blanco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paolo Blanco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Krum Nikolchov made a huge save. Javier Florian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Nazario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Facundo Nazario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Florian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Krum Nikolchov made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Paolo Blanco sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute Isidro Millano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krum Nikolchov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 minutes of play, La Palmira F.C's Guto Jorge made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Krum Nikolchov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Krum Nikolchov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Millano, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Facundo Nazario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Paolo Blanco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Lokomotiv Plovdiv booed when La Palmira F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Micael didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched La Palmira F.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
