After having played for 8 minutes, Vicente Bejarano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Warlocks -CR-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Bejarano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sergio Armoña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Boyce in the 9th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Lavallén Pelon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juvenal Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Neriz in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Wittingham in the 15th minute of play forced Warlocks -CR-'s goalkeeper Sergio Armoña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 16 in the game by Roman Durana from a close distance when the talented Juvenal Moreira managed to make a qualified save. Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Boyce in the 18th minute of play forced Warlocks -CR-'s goalkeeper Sergio Armoña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sergio Armoña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derek Findley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eddie Wittingham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lavallén Pelon was the one to do the kick off. After 51st play minutes Derek Findley shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Sergio Armoña and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 55th minute Lavallén Pelon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juvenal Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Neriz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juvenal Moreira came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Warlocks -CR-'s Christian Neriz. But to his dismay, Christian Neriz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a little luck, Warlocks -CR-'s Sergio Armoña got control of the ball when Derek Findley tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Eddie Wittingham's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sergio Armoña was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Sergio Armoña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derek Findley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergio Armoña made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eddie Wittingham in the 71st minute. Karl Pointon kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. When Eddie Wittingham came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Lisburn Distillery F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eddie Wittingham couldn't finish the play.
