Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Portus Ganda's Davi Sanches in the 8th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Muhammad Chan was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Stars through an amazing save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davi Sanches in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Muhammad Chan saved Stars from getting behind. In the 34th minute Wen Ke Yan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Vanbuyten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Siong in the 35th minute of play forced Portus Ganda's goalkeeper Tony Vanbuyten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radomir Kosowski's late challenge caught a Portus Ganda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Wen Ke Yan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernt Willig came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tony Vanbuyten could save by the left post. If Jonathan Siong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Portus Ganda's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Bernt Willig scored to the left of an out of position Tony Vanbuyten, making the score, 0-1. Stars made a substitution. Rudy Chandran replaced Adam Seng. Tony Vanbuyten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudy Chandran, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Wen Ke Yan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Tony Vanbuyten made a huge save. The throw-in from Joonatan Van Landewijck in the 80th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Stars's Wen Ke Yan. 83 minutes into the game, Stars's Rudy Chandran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tony Vanbuyten made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Radomir Kosowski hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the game, Davi Sanches cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Muhammad Chan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rudy Chandran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Vanbuyten having to interfere.
