Complexo do PJ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zafer Fırat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Richard Varela charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richard Varela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, Richard Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute Zafer Fırat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigi Tănăsie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Meira having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Complexo do PJ's Nicolae Ghiorman threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from José Paulo de Brito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Poli AEK's zone, Betão Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolae Ghiorman came out of the goal and Betão Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 22 played minutes Complexo do PJ got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme de Carvalho. 28 minutes into the match, Complexo do PJ's goal looked a bit too open when Wictor Brovall came free, but Vladimir Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Max Smed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Zafer Fırat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Complexo do PJ's Vladimir Meira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Complexo do PJ's Txeru Anieva got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Poli AEK's Nicolae Ghiorman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Poli AEK from getting a goal against them. He Jian Sha in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nicolae Ghiorman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zafer Fırat to strike the kick off in the second half. He Jian Sha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Paulo de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolae Ghiorman having to interfere. Nicolae Ghiorman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Txeru Anieva in the 70th minute of the match. Poli AEK's Nicolae Ghiorman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo de Brito in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Poli AEK's Max Smed got a free kick in the 71st minute. Vladimir Meira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zafer Fırat's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Poli AEK's Nicolae Ghiorman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Txeru Anieva in the 81st minute of play. A collision led to Complexo do PJ getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Eugênio Fernandez hit a great ball. When Poli AEK's Zafer Fırat in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Complexo do PJ's goalie prevented a goal. In the 91stth minute of the game Zafer Fırat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Complexo do PJ's Vladimir Meira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the last second Vladimir Meira throw himself and got hold of the ball when Zafer Fırat in the 93rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 95 minutes of play, Complexo do PJ's Txeru Anieva made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolae Ghiorman was left in no man's land by his defense there! The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
