After 19 minutes of play, Korona Kielce's Chesney Summers made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateo Michael was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Korona Kielce booed when Atlético Nuevo Laredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Olentzaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo Michael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakub Lukowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 27th match minute, Korona Kielce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alastair Boatman to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Eduardo Mincho got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute Gabi Martinelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Michael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateo Michael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alastair Boatman in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Bernat in the 38th minute of play forced Korona Kielce's goalkeeper Gary Ingram to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mateo Michael came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Korona Kielce's Gabi Martinelli. But to his dismay, Gabi Martinelli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chesney Summers to make the kick off. Mateo Michael made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Chesney Summers sent off a good shot on target. 52 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Olentzaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Korona Kielce the free kick. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Mateo Michael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabi Martinelli in the 55th minute of play. With his leg Mateo Michael managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Korona Kielce's Chesney Summers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 63 minutes into the match, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalkeeper Mateo Michael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabi Martinelli. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Mateo Michael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabi Martinelli in the 66th minute of play. Carolo Bernat hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Korona Kielce made a substitution. Zane Woodyat replaced Alastair Boatman. Rodrigo Rojas's late challenge caught a Korona Kielce's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 91st minute Gabi Martinelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Michael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalkeeper Mateo Michael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chesney Summers. Jakub Lukowski struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Mateo Michael didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Korona Kielce. 95 minutes into the match, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goal looked a bit too open when Chesney Summers came free, but Mateo Michael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
