An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Florin in the 4th minute of play forced Alinborger Galați's goalkeeper Tadeu Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Stelian Barascu fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alinborger Galați's protests and gave Stelian Barascu a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes Alinborger Galați got a freekick which was hit by Stelian Barascu. Tadeu Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orvar Kihlman in the 7th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orvar Kihlman in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tadeu Moraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. BV Borussia Hammarby's Rune Fristedt quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Stelian Barascu, made in the 11th minute of the game. Alin Avalos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingemar Samuelsson having to interfere. Tadeu Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orvar Kihlman's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Alinborger Galați's Tadeu Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orvar Kihlman in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orvar Kihlman in the 22nd minute of play forced Alinborger Galați's goalkeeper Tadeu Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Orvar Kihlman notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Alinborger Galați's Tadeu Moraes. Tadeu Moraes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 26 minutes into the match, Alinborger Galați's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Florin came free, but Tadeu Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BV Borussia Hammarby were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Alinborger Galați's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Honorio Florin took the corner. The corner led BV Borussia Hammarby's Honorio Florin to fire away a dangerous shot which Tadeu Moraes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tadeu Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orvar Kihlman in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Orvar Kihlman notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Alinborger Galați's Tadeu Moraes. Tadeu Moraes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tadeu Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orvar Kihlman went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. The Alinborger Galați players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BV Borussia Hammarby were winning 0-6.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honorio Florin was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Alinborger Galați's Tadeu Moraes got control of the ball when Honorio Florin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Orvar Kihlman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tadeu Moraes was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Orvar Kihlman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tadeu Moraes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Tadeu Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tadeu Moraes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Orvar Kihlman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 87 minute of play. Sven-Olof Josefsson charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the final whistle sounded BV Borussia Hammarby left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Alinborger Galați.
