Atlético Matorrales's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Heriberto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albano Timo in the 15th minute of play forced Atlético Matorrales's goalkeeper Leonardo Loco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Damian Heriberto sped through Atlético Matorrales's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leonardo Loco. Jacinto Godoy was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 28th minute Albano Timo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Loco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Loco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Heriberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Anastasio Caton came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Atlético Matorrales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anastasio Caton couldn't finish the play. Leonardo Loco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albano Timo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Iker Tino charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iker Tino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Iker Tino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Matorrales's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Albano Timo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Atlético Matorrales's goalie and right to Jacinto Godoy. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Atlético Matorrales's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After the first half Pitman FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tadeo Quilino to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albano Timo got free with Leonardo Loco in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gonzalo Mogel in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Loco saved Atlético Matorrales from getting behind. A collision led to Pitman FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Everardo Felipillo hit a great ball. Atlético Matorrales's Leonardo Loco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Matorrales from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute Severiano Ebardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzo Maradona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Pitman FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlético Matorrales throughout the match.
