Diamante Negro DK - VV's Rogério Ceni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ger Saber in the 7th minute of play. Damian Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredão Laguna in the 8th minute of play. Danilo Brion's late challenge caught a Diamante Negro DK - VV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danilo Brion helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes S.C. Sardaukar got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Brion. The audience held their breath when Umberto Lara in the 11th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Damian Torres's left hand side. After having played for 15 minutes, Ger Saber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C. Sardaukar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ger Saber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ger Saber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Ceni having to interfere. Damian Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredão Laguna, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Rogério Ceni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ger Saber went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The throw-in from Tibet Ekincioğlu in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by S.C. Sardaukar's Joaquin Ioritz. When Victor Silva fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diamante Negro DK - VV's protests and gave Victor Silva a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute Ger Saber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Ceni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredão Laguna to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Nuno Vilaverde managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C. Sardaukar's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Vilaverde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Ceni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 54 minutes into the match, Alfredão Laguna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damian Torres. S.C. Sardaukar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredão Laguna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Damian Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredão Laguna in the 70th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredão Laguna in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damian Torres saved S.C. Sardaukar from getting behind. In the 77th minute, Alfredão Laguna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damian Torres was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Baltazar Weidt was substituted for Mauro Ihintza. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Vinícius Servaes was substituted for Alfredão Laguna. Damian Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinícius Servaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Marcos Cruz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Damian Torres in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 90th minute Pascual Ponc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Ceni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Teo Paez fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Sardaukar's protests and gave Teo Paez a yellow card for diving instead. Teo Paez hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Diamante Negro DK - VV fans cheered their team off the field, for while S.C. Sardaukar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
