With an all-out effort, Nacional de Rolândia's Bernardino Dimas threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gláuber Cruz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 4 minutes into the match, Atlético Rio Cuarto's goal looked a bit too open when Gláuber Cruz came free, but Bernardino Dimas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelino Inautzi in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Negri saved Nacional de Rolândia from getting behind. The attack was good, but when Gláuber Cruz in the 12th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 14th minute Paulo Ferrari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gláuber Cruz in the 17th minute of play forced Atlético Rio Cuarto's goalkeeper Bernardino Dimas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Kang Lin Yi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardino Dimas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 22nd match minute, Nacional de Rolândia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Souza to maneuver through the defense. Victor Negri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelino Inautzi went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute, Angelino Inautzi made a precise shot to the right of Victor Negri. Nacional de Rolândia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 47 minutes into the game, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Angelino Inautzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victor Negri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Kang Lin Yi made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Angelino Inautzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victor Negri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Bernardino Dimas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kang Lin Yi in the 61st minute of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nacional de Rolândia's goalkeeper Victor Negri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Angelino Inautzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victor Negri having to make a save. Nacional de Rolândia's Victor Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Inautzi in the 75th minute of play. Marco Gurutz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Victor Negri made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Kang Lin Yi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nacional de Rolândia's supporters rose to their feet, but Kang Lin Yi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardino Dimas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional de Rolândia's zone, Angelino Inautzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Negri came out of the goal and Angelino Inautzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Saturnino Marino was substituted for Angelino Inautzi. Atlético Rio Cuarto made a substitution. Fernando Bras replaced Melquiades Jakobe. Ernest Voicescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Saturnino Marino came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Atlético Rio Cuarto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saturnino Marino couldn't finish the play. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Bernardino Dimas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Rock in the 94th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Nacional de Rolândia lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
