Húsares's Denis Mero got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomás Chinto hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Vicente Barbosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florencio Ferran went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Florencio Ferran made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Florencio Ferran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Galo do Cerrado's Vicente Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Ferran in the 57th minute of play. In the 68th minute Beto dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Quintyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Húsares made a substitution. Teobaldo Ibon replaced Florencio Ferran. Fabio Quintyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Peli in the 75th minute of play.
