A.J. 韩文海 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oktay Eğriöz, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Oktay Eğriöz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, Paso FC's A.J. 韩文海 threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oktay Eğriöz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 29th minute of the game Fabio Cannavaro made a throw-in which Oktay Eğriöz played forward. Fabio Cannavaro hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. If Benjamin Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benjamin Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Máximo Portero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. Máximo Portero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After a rather tough play, Joinville Esporte Clube's Guillermo Gimeno got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Paso FC's Oktay Eğriöz in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ata Cante made a great header on Paso FC's corner, it was just that Joinville Esporte Clube's A.J. 韩文海 managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ata Cante in the 67th minute of play forced Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper A.J. 韩文海 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ata Cante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes in the game Nilton de Queiroz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jerry Uchiha. After a defensive mix-up in Joinville Esporte Clube's zone, Ata Cante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. A.J. 韩文海 came out of the goal and Ata Cante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute of the match Tomas Lucero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but A.J. 韩文海 showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
