The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sagene IF's goalkeeper William Sommerseth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Jens Anderson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Legion of Boom's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens Anderson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. William Sommerseth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. William Sommerseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens Anderson in the 11th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Jens Anderson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Sommerseth was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torstein Solli got free with Guto Trevisan in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel Aakre charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Aakre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Legion of Boom booed when Sagene IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Aakre didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Jens Anderson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Legion of Boom's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens Anderson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sagene IF's William Sommerseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens Anderson in the 31st minute of play. William Sommerseth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jens Anderson went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. William Sommerseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens Anderson, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 38 minutes Sagene IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vito Diniz who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Legion of Boom's Vito Diniz to fire away a dangerous shot which William Sommerseth despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 41st minute of the match Legion of Boom got a corner. Sagene IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vito Diniz ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Sagene IF's Gabriel Aakre got a free kick in the 44th minute. If Jens Anderson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute Jens Anderson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Sommerseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Torstein Solli made the kick off in the second half. Guto Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Óbolo in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Jens Anderson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karsten Karlsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guto Trevisan having to interfere. William Knutsen hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. William Knutsen's late challenge caught a Legion of Boom's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William Knutsen helped the player get up and apologised. After 67 played minutes Sagene IF got a freekick which was hit by William Knutsen. William Sommerseth was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Jens Anderson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jens Anderson really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. After 71 played minutes Legion of Boom got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Cerezo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torstein Solli in the 73rd minute of play forced Legion of Boom's goalkeeper Guto Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guto Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Bergum, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Jens Anderson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of William Sommerseth. Jens Anderson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. William Sommerseth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jens Anderson in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jens Anderson got free with William Sommerseth in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute, Jens Anderson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute Oscar Bergum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens Anderson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but William Sommerseth made a huge save. In the 94th minute of the game Raymond Michalsen made a throw-in which Torstein Solli played forward. The Legion of Boom players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
