Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianfranco Saron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gianfranco Saron might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Cañizares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gianfranco Saron ran back to his position shaking his head. Emiliano Saron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Rubio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santiago Cañizares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gianfranco Saron went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 18 minutes, Luis-Miguel Rienda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Foguera and the Valle Saron players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Foguera got a freekick which was hit by Luis-Miguel Rienda. Gianfranco Saron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Cañizares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, David Villa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emiliano Saron was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 29 minutes into the match, Foguera's goal looked a bit too open when Gianfranco Saron came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianfranco Saron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gianfranco Saron scored 1-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santiago Cañizares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 43 minutes in the game Niceto Arixo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gianfranco Saron. Valle Saron's Gianfranco Saron got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Gianfranco Saron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valle Saron's supporters rose to their feet, but Gianfranco Saron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Cañizares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when David Villa made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Valle Saron's Wincent Poling got a free kick in the 51st minute. Emiliano Saron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianfranco Saron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Villa in the 58th minute of play forced Valle Saron's goalkeeper Emiliano Saron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Foguera's Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianfranco Saron in the 63rd minute of play. Gianfranco Saron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Santiago Cañizares made a huge save. Valle Saron's Joshua Saron was substituted for Gringo Saron. Valle Saron's Arí Saron was substituted for Gianfranco Saron. Valle Saron's Chumo Salces was substituted for Pepito Saron. After 68 minutes Foguera's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teofil Kornasiewicz who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Teofil Kornasiewicz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Santiago Cañizares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Foguera's Santiago Cañizares got control of the ball when Niceto Arixo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santiago Cañizares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chumo Salces in the 73rd minute of play. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chumo Salces, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Foguera's attentive Luis-Miguel Rienda managed to snatch the ball when Joakim Back made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Rubio in the 82nd minute of play forced Valle Saron's goalkeeper Emiliano Saron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arí Saron who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Santiago Cañizares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Valle Saron players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
