Maurício Bomba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th minute Marick Brunt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Fonso in the 12th minute of play forced FC Bal op het Dak's goalkeeper Maurício Bomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bruno Fonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Maurício Bomba successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 16 minutes into the match, Club Ibiza's Bruno Fonso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurício Bomba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Dan Kjellman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rene Higuita was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 23rd minute, Dan Kjellman made a precise shot to the right of Rene Higuita. Club Ibiza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a little luck, FC Bal op het Dak's Maurício Bomba got control of the ball when Bruno Fonso tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Bruno Fonso took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Maurício Bomba to make any attempt to save it. Dan Kjellman might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rene Higuita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dan Kjellman ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Kjellman in the 34th minute of play forced Club Ibiza's goalkeeper Rene Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Higuita came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Bal op het Dak's Dan Kjellman. But to his dismay, Dan Kjellman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bruno Fonso made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bal op het Dak's zone, Tiso Posse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Bomba came out of the goal and Tiso Posse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Bal op het Dak made a substitution. Iwan Valentijn replaced Aristides Gombal. A throw-in in the 59th minute of the game was made by Đỗ Remi with Tiso Posse as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 63rd minute Adama Traore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Bomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Bal op het Dak defense, Adama Traore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maurício Bomba. The FC Bal op het Dak fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maurício Bomba should have stopped the shot. FC Bal op het Dak's Nico Hagenouw was substituted for Válbson Almeida. John-Paul Locatelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Rene Higuita made a huge save. 85 minutes into the match, FC Bal op het Dak's goal looked a bit too open when Jose-Antonio Capon came free, but Maurício Bomba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute Adama Traore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Bomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martijn August in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rene Higuita, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
