Bairoletto FC's Giorgio Beloki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Fossum in the 3rd minute of play. In the 3rdth minute of the game Martin Fossum who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bairoletto FC's Giorgio Beloki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Bairoletto FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Conrado Bertol hit a great ball. After 6 minutes of play, AFK Petržalka's Martin Fossum made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giorgio Beloki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Conrado Bertol hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Martin Fossum blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giorgio Beloki having to make a save. 12 minutes into the match, Bairoletto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Fossum came free, but Giorgio Beloki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Fossum's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giorgio Beloki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After 25 minutes of play, AFK Petržalka's Martin Fossum made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giorgio Beloki was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Fossum in the 28th minute of play forced Bairoletto FC's goalkeeper Giorgio Beloki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giorgio Beloki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Fossum in the 30th minute of play. Bairoletto FC's Giorgio Beloki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Fossum in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute Martin Fossum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgio Beloki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Martin Fossum ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giorgio Beloki was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Froilan Meder hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Martin Fossum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

In the 56th minute, AFK Petržalka's Martin Fossum ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Giorgio Beloki. Giorgio Beloki yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. After some careless play in the Bairoletto FC defense, Martin Fossum kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giorgio Beloki. The Bairoletto FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giorgio Beloki should have stopped the shot. Víctor Antov hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Filip Garaj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Gaur in the 62nd minute of play. Giorgio Beloki came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by AFK Petržalka's Martin Fossum. But to his dismay, Martin Fossum quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović was substituted for Martin Fossum. After 71 played minutes Bairoletto FC got a freekick which was hit by Simon Richie. AFK Petržalka's Filip Garaj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Galeno in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute Nikola Krstović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgio Beloki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes, Froilan Meder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bairoletto FC and the AFK Petržalka players grew even worse after the yellow card. Filip Garaj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Gaur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Víctor Antov kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match.
