With his leg Marcell Barovero managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Bart Timmons fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Roceira SC's Marcell Barovero got control of the ball when Reginaldo Dias tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michel Haaland in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lyle Flanagan saved EL LOBO DE MIAMI from getting behind. Lyle Flanagan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Haaland in the 31st minute of the match. If Stig-Ove Möller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Haaland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcell Barovero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reginaldo Dias went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute Reginaldo Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcell Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the match, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goalkeeper Lyle Flanagan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aílton Damião. Paolo Rossi's late challenge caught a EL LOBO DE MIAMI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paolo Rossi helped the player get up and apologised. Paolo Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match.
