Alfredo Martins started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão dos Santos in the 5th minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Esen Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Almir Loureiro got a free kick in the 8th minute. Samson Siemen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bruno Renan. Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tarcisio Mangueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Bruno Renan made a huge save. Benedykt Pankiewicz struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Bruno Renan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E.R. Caxias do Sul. Alfredo Martins took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esen Sanal. Esen Sanal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 29 minutes into the game, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Tarcisio Mangueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Renan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Esen Sanal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Martins's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute Mario Pochekanski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Renan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedykt Pankiewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Renan having to interfere. Esen Sanal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betão dos Santos in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Fantini came free, but Esen Sanal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benedykt Pankiewicz made a kick off. Mario Pochekanski kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Bruno Renan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Pochekanski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esen Sanal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Martins's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betão dos Santos got free with Esen Sanal in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Esen Sanal managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Marquês de Herval's Betão dos Santos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Martins in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esen Sanal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81stth minute of the game Romain Peyrou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marquês de Herval's Bruno Renan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Betão dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 86th minute Benedykt Pankiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Renan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esen Sanal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Betão dos Santos in the 88th minute. The Marquês de Herval players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
