The supporters of AFK Petržalka booed when Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Herescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Arnalt Teresa hit a great ball. If Supreme Nue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Alin Onuț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Fossum in the 20th minute of play. Víctor Antov charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Víctor Antov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Víctor Antov hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Supreme Nue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Filip Garaj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduard Herescu hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The supporters of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víctor Antov didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Supreme Nue made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the game Moreno Torricelli made a throw-in which Eärendil Carabajal played forward. When Ertuğrul Ulutaş fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s protests and gave Ertuğrul Ulutaş a yellow card for diving instead. Ertuğrul Ulutaş hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. AFK Petržalka's Filip Garaj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Supreme Nue in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Eduard Herescu got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's Martin Fossum sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alin Onuț narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Martin Fossum dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alin Onuț, 0-1. Filip Garaj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Supreme Nue in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute Martin Fossum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alin Onuț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s zone, Rick Haremeijer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alin Onuț came out of the goal and Rick Haremeijer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AFK Petržalka's Nino Marcelli was substituted for Eärendil Carabajal. Simon von Liechtenstein hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 75 minutes of play AFK Petržalka's Víctor Antov was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víctor Antov didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Ertuğrul Ulutaş in the 77th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Filip Garaj's left hand side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of AFK Petržalka:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-:s goal. Filip Garaj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Supreme Nue, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adam Curteanu hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AFK Petržalka were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
