The referee ignored LOI's protests and gave Hüseyin Cahit Gökdoğan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of 1908 Vefa booed when LOI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hüseyin Cahit Gökdoğan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dilaver İlmen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Buturugã having to interfere. Abdi Mehmet Nesip stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Özgür Özbay's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. If Sulo Montaña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abdi Mehmet Nesip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sulo Montaña in the 14th minute of the match. 1908 Vefa's Dilaver İlmen got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, LOI's Sulo Montaña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdi Mehmet Nesip narrowly saved just below the crossbar. LOI were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after 1908 Vefa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ahmet Hamdi Ortan took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Özgür Özbay managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 36 minutes into the match, Sulo Montaña had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abdi Mehmet Nesip. 1908 Vefa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sulo Montaña was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sulo Montaña in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdi Mehmet Nesip saved 1908 Vefa from getting behind. When Sulo Montaña, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 39 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Abdi Mehmet Nesip was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 46th minute Inácio Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Buturugã saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Inácio Domingues made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as LOI's Sulo Montaña slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abdi Mehmet Nesip. That made the score 0-2 after 52 minutes of play. Abdi Mehmet Nesip made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sulo Montaña in the 58th minute. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Özgür Özbay sped through 1908 Vefa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abdi Mehmet Nesip. 65 minutes into the match, 1908 Vefa's goalkeeper Abdi Mehmet Nesip had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sulo Montaña. 1908 Vefa's Abdi Mehmet Nesip proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save 1908 Vefa from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd match minute, LOI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Özgür Özbay to maneuver through the defense. LOI made a substitution. Kaan Öztanır replaced Eriberto Segio. In the 82nd minute Inácio Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Buturugã saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. LOI's Kerimhan Cevher was substituted for Sulo Montaña. After 89 minutes 1908 Vefa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ahmet Hamdi Ortan who took care of the corner kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. LOI walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
