The audience was convinced that Estevao Abalos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tony Vanbuyten was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Gerrit Diependaele charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerrit Diependaele the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Portus Ganda getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gerrit Diependaele hit a great ball. Tony Vanbuyten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Estevao Abalos, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Tony Vanbuyten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estevon Abancens in the 19th minute of play. Fernand Schoutens hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Mattin Abechuco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tony Vanbuyten. Portus Ganda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gorka Abel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Vits in the 24th minute. If Estevon Abancens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tony Vanbuyten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estevao Abalos in the 31st minute of play. Gunter De Mulder kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes in the game, Gerrit Diependaele fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gorka Abel having to interfere. Tony Vanbuyten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Abeijon's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Gerrit Diependaele received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gorka Abel came out and tried to block the shot, but Gerrit Diependaele slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 37th minute. In the 43rd minute Estevon Abancens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Vanbuyten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Vanbuyten came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Escuadrón Mercenario's Estevao Abalos. But to his dismay, Estevao Abalos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Estevon Abancens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Higinio Abenda came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Escuadrón Mercenario fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Higinio Abenda couldn't finish the play. Estevao Abalos got in the 55th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Tony Vanbuyten handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Higinio Abenda during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tony Vanbuyten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Estevao Abalos in the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Escuadrón Mercenario's Estevao Abalos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tony Vanbuyten. Tony Vanbuyten yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estevon Abancens in the 65th minute of play forced Portus Ganda's goalkeeper Tony Vanbuyten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gorka Abel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerrit Diependaele, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Estevon Abancenss short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Tony Vanbuyten to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Escuadrón Mercenario's Estevao Abalos got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 78 minutes, Estevao Abalos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escuadrón Mercenario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Estevao Abalos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaspar Abastas kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Estevon Abancens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Vanbuyten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrique Abeijon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tony Vanbuyten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Estevao Abalos in the 89th minute. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Portus Ganda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mattin Abechuco was slow to take the kick. During this time Escuadrón Mercenario's players had a chance to rest. Mattin Abechuco made a great header on Escuadrón Mercenario's corner, it was just that Portus Ganda's Tony Vanbuyten managed to reach the ball for a save.
