Cadáveres Voladores's Arsenio Domiku got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernando Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Alfredo Koldo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Válter Siqueira came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfredo Koldo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 19th minute. Javier Eutor charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Javier Eutor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eugenio Mikelar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 29thth minute of the game Paulo Tasso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cadáveres Voladores's Eugenio Mikelar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Diego Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Cadáveres Voladores's Eugenio Mercurio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Válter Siqueira but with some difficulty. In the 35th minute, Eugenio Mercurio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugenio Mikelar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Vieira in the 41st minute of play. In the 48th minute, Paulo Tasso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monumento Sports fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Paulo José Monteiro made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Cadáveres Voladores got a freekick which was hit by Javier Eutor. The audience was convinced that Paulo Tasso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugenio Mikelar was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Monumento Sports's Paulo Tasso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eugenio Mikelar. That made the score 1-5 after 89 minutes of play. 94 minutes into the match, Cadáveres Voladores's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José Monteiro came free, but Eugenio Mikelar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Monumento Sports walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
