The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Deivid Quadros took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Faron Aleso to make any attempt to save it. Zé Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Faron Aleso made a huge save. Zé Ortizs short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Faron Aleso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 10th match minute, Garfield Dream Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Onbera Gordo to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Pernambucano had several of the Garfield Dream Team's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 13 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Faron Aleso as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, IGUIPORÃ FC's Luiz Fernando Furtado got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 21 played minutes Garfield Dream Team got a freekick which was hit by Matxin Monsalve. Zé Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Faron Aleso made a huge save. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Zé Ortiz sped through Garfield Dream Team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Faron Aleso. Zé Ortiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Faron Aleso having to make a save. 33 minutes into the game, Luiz Fernando Furtado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IGUIPORÃ FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garfield Dream Team the free kick. Luiz Fernando Furtado hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 36th match minute, IGUIPORÃ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. Haroldo Peres made in the 38th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Antônio Carlos Abreu. Zé Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faron Aleso having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Garfield Dream Team got a freekick which was hit by Favila Lesaca. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garfield Dream Team's goalkeeper Faron Aleso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When IGUIPORÃ FC's Zé Ortiz in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Garfield Dream Team's goalie prevented a goal. Zé Ortiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Faron Aleso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Ortiz ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Garfield Dream Team defense, Deivid Quadros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Faron Aleso. The Garfield Dream Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Faron Aleso should have stopped the shot. IGUIPORÃ FC made a substitution. Tony Vale replaced Zé Augusto Brito. 70 minutes into the game, Antônio Carlos Abreu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Garfield Dream Team's Viviano Ulloa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Faron Aleso came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by IGUIPORÃ FC's Deivid Quadros. But to his dismay, Deivid Quadros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. IGUIPORÃ FC made a substitution. Zeca Soeiro replaced Kaká Saraiva. Garfield Dream Team's attentive Favila Lesaca managed to snatch the ball when Zeca Soeiro made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Ortiz in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faron Aleso saved Garfield Dream Team from getting behind. A collision led to IGUIPORÃ FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Deivid Quadros hit a great ball. After 82 minutes, Zé Ortiz made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Garfield Dream Team's Faron Aleso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wágner Vander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irrintzi Matanza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the game, Zeca Soeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IGUIPORÃ FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garfield Dream Team the free kick. The supporters of Garfield Dream Team booed when IGUIPORÃ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeca Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Victor Lira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Garfield Dream Team's Faron Aleso didn't even have to move. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. IGUIPORÃ FC had played much better football throughout.
