Gláuber Brodel came out of the goal and Iordanis Petrou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th match minute, O.T.E was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordanis Petrou to maneuver through the defense. Iason Kantimiris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Habib Ali Picavea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Ramalho in the 40th minute of play forced O.T.E's goalkeeper Iason Kantimiris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcos Ramalho made a kick off. Iason Kantimiris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Velasco in the 56th minute of play. Gláuber Brodel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Iordanis Petrou fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored O.T.E's protests and gave Iordanis Petrou a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to O.T.E getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Iordanis Petrou hit a great ball. In the 68th minute Hélder Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iason Kantimiris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
