The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Béla Antal in the 4th minute of play forced Caricancha's goalkeeper Simon Llorenc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th match minute, Caricancha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Maxin to maneuver through the defense. Rigoberto Francesco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Dénes Sinkó tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tiburcio Restu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dénes Sinkó was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. The supporters of Caricancha booed when Andrashida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gábor Újfalussy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiburcio Restu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half Caricancha were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Andrashida's Dénes Sinkó played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Restu in the 53rd minute of play. In the 59th match minute, Andrashida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ákos Torma to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ede Szalay in the 62nd minute of play forced Caricancha's goalkeeper Simon Llorenc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Restu in the 63rd minute of play forced Andrashida's goalkeeper Dénes Sinkó to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dénes Sinkó made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rigoberto Francesco in the 66th minute. In the 95th minute Ede Szalay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Llorenc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caricancha's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
