In the 90th minute Laércio Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Diaz Montero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Julio Almi took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giorgi Mamardashvili. Giorgi Mamardashvili dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 96 minutes into the game, U. de Tarapacá's José Julio Almi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giorgi Mamardashvili made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. U. de Tarapacá had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
